Yakov Markovich Khaimov 1914 - 1991 Studied at the Moscow Art Academy during late 30s - early 40s. Important shows included All Union Art Exhibition in Moscow 1946, 1947, 1950 and 1951. Specialised in genre paintings and landscapes and is recognised as a master of impressionist technique. Was active in Uzbekistan and Moscow. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. Honoured Artist of Russia. His paintings were widely exhibited and acquired by the museums in his native country and abroad. Many of his works are in private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Spain, Germany and Japan.
